The internets…
Are driving me bonkers. We figured it out, it’s not us, it’s them. Them being our internet service bastards. Hopefully, they’ll resolve all of our issues (and a neighbors) on Wednesday. Until then, it’s back to sporadic internet.
Thankfully, they are getting da boot but good when we move. I haven’t told them that we’re breaking up and that I want them out of my life forever because all they do is take take take and I’m not getting my jollies off at all in this relationship. Too graphic? I think not! So, we’ve found a new internet lover, who from recent reviews, appears to give really good ‘net. I can’t wait to be surfin’ all day and night, night and day, always leaving my computer with great big satisfied grin.

Hmmmm…
Today, I’ll sit in a chair and stare. Sit and stare. Sit and stare. I should be grateful, since my days are typically jam packed but while everyone else is using the remainder of their vacation days, I’m taking my vacation in my cubicle. And sit and stare.

Pick a peck of presents…
I hate bell peppers but for these I’ll GLADLY make an exception…

My future mother-in-law ROCKS! She’s assisting in my addiction to Le Creuset, how could I not love her?
EDIT:Yup, I got all four of those lovelies. The first time that I’ll want to eat with peppers.

If only in my dreams…
I am a blessed woman. I have love, health and happiness. I have all I could ever want for the Holidays. And I hope that yours is the same.

All hail…
B the conquerer of internet connections! He stayed up late last night so that I could have direct connect to the world. There are holiday miracles and now, I won’t go through withdrawals. I won’t have to be strong and learn how to live like it’s 1992. I do believe, I do believe.
And now, I do believe, I’ll be going to work for half a day.

While I can…
Happy Holidays to you and yours. I’ll be snuggling by a faux fire with B (gotta love firelogs on TV), rubbing the belly of the cutest kitty and thinking of all of those I love, you my lovelies are included.
If I don’t post for the next few days, it’s not out of lack of love but out of lack of internet connection. I’m going to be cheery about my service provider not providing service, taking it as a karma hint that I should spend more time away from this machine.

Anti-zilla…
I thought I had a date. I thought I had a location. Until the PassiveAgressive monster that is my mother struck. “Wouldn’t you like to get married at our church?” “Don’t you think that’s quite a bit of money to spend on one hour?” “So and so have a timeshare in Vegas, can they come too?” “I know you want to keep the wedding small but…” “How much do you think the reception will cost?” “Can you get estimates of x,y,z?”
SHOOT ME!
Yes, it’s B and I’s wedding. Yes, we’re grown adults. But, I’m a pleaser. And all around “want to do it for the peeps” kind of person. And, now I’m confused. God, I wish we could just elope and it’s only week one of being engaged.

So…
How are you? I’m good. Still on my cloud. But, let this not be all about me. Let’s talk about you. Are you done shopping for the holidays? Are you sending out gifts so late that they may or may not arrive before 2008? Do you really know what you want to get people or do you feel forced to buy SOMETHING because you know that they are going to buy you something and you don’t know what it is and you don’t know how you feel about it because you might not like this fictitious gift that they might or might not buy you?

Brown paper packages…
The wrapping queen is not living up to her title this year. Nothing’s wrapped. Hilary is the ONLY person who’s gotten a wrapped gift this year. Weekends fly by too quickly for me to get stuff packed, let alone put into bright paper packages.
So, to all who receive from me, the gifts were sent with love and the wrapping is via UPS.

Once upon a Wednesday…
There was a woman, all dressed up for her boyfriend’s work Holiday Party (gotta be PC in the fairy tales), waiting on the corner of a city block awaiting her carriage (car) ride to the ball. Her boyfriend picked her up and whisked her a way to wine and dine her in the company of his cohorts.
After a fabulous dinner, he escorted her home. Or so she thought. On their way to the abode, he informed her that a detour was necessary. She, knowing that the Holiday season was in full swing said, “Okay” and off they went to a secret locale. As he drove she figured that he must have some shopping in mind, since it was the mall’s parking deck that they were driving through…fighting evil monsters (other competitive drivers) for a sacred spot to park their mighty machine.
Him in a suit and her in a dress, they walked away from the car and from the mall. She not knowing what’s going on and gets confused giving him a beguiled look. But as they continued their journey a giant wall of water appeared. It was a sight she was familiar with because it was one of the first destinations her love had taken her to when he was introducing her to the fair city that they call home. It was a magnificent wonder, lit for the evening with the cascade of water coming down. She was a bit entranced by the beauty and didn’t notice him pulling an item from his coat. Then she turned. And he asked, “Will you marry me?”. She cried and said, “YES!”

And that my dear lovelies, is how B asked me to be his Missus.
